About Oase

Built by agency people,
for agency people

We ran a design agency. We used all the tools. Asana for projects, Slack for messages, QuickBooks for invoices, Dropbox for files — and we still couldn't tell you which projects were profitable until the month was over. So we stopped patching the problem and built the solution.

A letter from Louie

Hey,

I run a design agency in Arnhem. Have for years. Great clients, solid work. The kind of studio you'd call healthy.

But behind the scenes? Half my day wasn't design. It was admin. Creating tasks in ClickUp. Forwarding files from Google Drive to Slack. Copy-pasting client updates between four different apps. Onboarding every new client into six platforms they didn't ask for.

And the worst part? Getting design feedback. A client sends an email saying "the thing on the left feels off." Which thing? Which left? So you jump on a call. They explain it. You write it down. You put it in ClickUp. You update the file in Google Drive. You message your designer in Slack. One round of feedback, five apps, thirty minutes of admin that should've been a single comment on the design.

I wasn't running a studio. I was managing a tool stack. And paying a fortune for it. Every tool had its own subscription, its own login, its own way of doing things. None of them talked to each other.

I kept thinking: someone should just build one place for all of this. One dashboard that actually connects everything an agency needs. Projects, clients, communication, invoices, files. Feedback that lives on the design, not scattered across five apps. One platform instead of fourteen.

Nobody did. So I found someone who could build it with me.

I met Lam through an online community. We got to know each other over time. He's an exceptional engineer and he understood the problem immediately. Together we started building the dashboard I'd been wishing existed for years.

Here's what I believe: if you opened an agency to do great creative work, you should actually get to do great creative work. The admin should disappear, not multiply.

We called it Oase. I still run my agency on it every morning. It's not a side project. It's how we work.

Two people. One shared frustration.

One runs a design agency. The other builds the platform. Neither is guessing at what you need.

Lam spent years building tools for agencies before deciding to build the one that actually works. His principle: if a feature adds a step to your workflow instead of removing one, it doesn't ship. He owns every line of code in the platform — and he's the reason Oase feels fast.

How we decide what to build

Would we use this ourselves?

Every feature request goes through one filter: would this actually help Oase Creative run better tomorrow? If the answer is "it's cool but not essential," it doesn't get built. That's why Oase has 18 apps and none of them feel bolted on.

Agency problems only

We don't build for "teams." We build for design agencies with 2–20 people, a client roster, a project backlog, and a pile of invoices. If a feature doesn't serve that specific workflow, it goes to the "never" list.

Less time in the tool, more time on the work

We don't measure success by daily active usage. We measure it by how fast you can get in, see what needs attention, take action, and get back to designing. The best tool is the one you barely notice using.

Start with one project.
See the difference.

Move a single project into Oase — client, tasks, files, and all. When everything is in one place, you'll feel it immediately. No credit card. No commitment. Just your actual workflow, simplified.
